The Old Goa Police on Saturday busted an online gambling racket at Chimbel and arrested eight persons, all hailing from Karnataka.
Details shared by the local police reveals that the accused were caught red handed while accepting bets through online mode on mobile phones in a closed premises on the numerical figures.
Articles consisting of mobile phones of different makes, calculators, gambling print slips, and printers all worth Rs 90,000 were seized from their possession.
