Stating that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is jumping the gun without checking facts, Goa Forward President Vijai Sardessai alleged that the CM's utterances have brought a bad name to Goa.
"In the Phogat death case, he said she has died of heart attack even before the conduct of post-mortem. Now the Department of Forensic Medicine has stated that there were blunt force injuries on the body."
"And this is not the first time the CM has made irresponsible statements. In Siddhi Naik’s case too, he said that it was a case of drowning which was subsequently registered as murder," Sardessai pointed out.
"The CM likes to give clean chit and jump the gun, which gives Goa a bad name," Sardessai stated while adding that it reflects badly on the state of affairs under the CM.
"With such utterances, Goa's name as tourism hub is affected," he said and urged the CM to speak after cross-checking facts, without jumping to conclusions.
