The State government has reset the Goa Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Authority with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant heading it and Tourism Secretary Sanjeev Ahuja, IAS, as its chief executive officer (CEO).
The authority also has as members top corporate honchos including Mumbai-based Rajesh Parab, the MD of Colorcon Asia Pvt Ltd, Sreenivas who is the Goa plant head of Lupin Pharma, Ajay Chowdhry, the chairperson of New Delhi-based EPIC Foundation, K R Naik, the CMD of DIGISOL, Sanjay Bhandari of Nestle India Ltd, Goa and Mahesh Bhatt of Cipla Foundation, Goa.
The Directorate of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation will be its Member-Secretary.
The CSR authority was first constituted under the finance department in 2021 to help channelise CSR contributions from government PSUs and private sector companies for utilisation specifically in backward talukas of the State.
