GPCC chief dares CM to make public Goa report card

State Congress President Amit Patkar on Wednesday sought to turn the tables on Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant by throwing an open challenge to him to place before the people of Goa Report Card of Double Engine BJP Government on 24 core issues concerning the Goans. 

He said the refusal by Margao MLA Digambar Kamat and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar to contest as South Goa BJP Candidate for Lok Sabha exposes the failed Report Card of the Double Engine Government.

“We want to know from CM if his Front Engine extended necessary support and cooperation to Opposition MP's in last 5 years or was BJP engaged only in expelling MPs from the Parliament to suppress their Voice?, Questioned Amit Patkar.

He demanded Report Card from the BJP Government led by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on issues such as scrapping of Three Linear Projects, withdrawal of DPR of Kalsa Bhandura Project given by Modi Government, DPR showing benefits for Goa and from IIT Project at Rivona, DPR on Film City at Loliem Canacona with its Benefits to Goa and Goans in terms of Jobs and Employment Opportunities and also Benefit to Loliem Communidade.

Patkar further charged that the BJP Government has failed to release Funds of almost Rs 500 Crores to Social Welfare Schemes. He also said that Recovery of Rs 1400 Crores Electricity Bills are pending from Industrial, Commercial and Government Offices defaulters.
