Frustrated residents of Anjuna have voiced their disappointment with both the local police and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant over the ongoing loud music issue in the area.
During an interaction at the Anjuna Police Station on Wednesday, in the presence of Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo, locals criticised authorities for failing to address their concerns.
One resident specifically blamed the chief minister, expressing frustration that despite his promises to curb loud music in the region, the problem persists.
"The issue lies with our chief minister. He came here and assured us that loud music would be stopped, but nothing has changed. If the CM can't stop it, how can the police inspectors do their job?" the resident questioned.
Another villager shared his dissatisfaction with the Anjuna Police, accusing them of failing to act on noise complaints.
He noted that when residents called the designated phone numbers to report issues, the police often responded with trivial questions instead of taking action.
The complaints highlight the growing frustration among locals who feel their concerns about noise pollution are being neglected by both the police and higher authorities.
