DGP Alok Kumar held an interactive session with IRBn police personnel on Monday, emphasizing the need for close supervision by supervisory officers, strict discipline and adherence to guard duty guidelines.
The meeting at police headquarters comes against the backdrop of the incident wherein IRBn constable Amit Naik facilitated the escape of Suleman Siddique Khan.
Addressing the personnel, DGP Kumar underlined the importance of mental and physical well being of personnel. He further directed the commandant to organize regular capacity-building and refresher courses as well as hold monthly Sampark Sabha to address grievances and ensure transparency.
Kumar also highlighted the need to maintain and upgrade infrastructural facilities at the IRBn campus, urging proactive measures for creating a state of the art campus.
