A 34-year-old tile fitter from Bihar but residing at Zuarinagar was killed late Wednesday evening after being hit by a moving train near Shantinagar.
According to sources in the Vasco Railway police, the deceased Mohammed Ujale was walking from Shantinagar to Dabolim on the passage alongside the track.
“He may not have been aware of the approaching train near a small turn along the track.”
“Usually, trains tend to move a little outside the tracks and the deceased was hit from behind and he fell on his face and died following the mishap.”
“A Vasco railway police team went to the site, identified the deceased and contacted family members. The body was also sent for a postmortem," said the source.
