An argument at a bar in Nadora took a violent turn when a 34-year-old man from Colvale was stabbed by a person from Nadora. The incident took place at about 11.50 pm on Friday, when the victim, Sarvesh Bagkar, and the accused Neeraj Hargapure were at a bar.
Hargapure, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, entered into an argument with Bagkar. A fight then broke out and Hargapure allegedly stabbed Bagkar with a knife, causing him multiple injuries.
Bagkar was admitted to the Mapusa District Hospital and was later referred to the GMC.
Acting on a complaint, police registered a case of attempted murder and arrested Hargapure in this connection.
