Commuters from Belagavi and Goa can now heave a sigh of relief as the Goa government has taken up the repairs and hotmixing of the Chorla ghat section of the Belagavi-Goa road.
Former Belagavi Mayor Vijay More had taken special initiatives in urging the Goa PWD minister Deepak Pauskar to get the road repaired, as commuters from both states had been facing hardships.
Pleased that the roadwork has finally begun, Capt Nitin Dhond of Wildernest Resorts along with More felicitated the minister in presence of activists Kiran Gawade, Allen More, Sachin Samji of Balaji concrete and others.
Meanwhile, commuters are also advised to take up an alternative route to travel as the work is being implemented throughout the day and night.
