The Muslim community members of Tiswadi are displeased about the handing over of the prayer hall keys to the St Inez kabrastan.
In a press note issued by Muslim Democratic Society of Goa, the president of the Society Iftekhar Shaikh demanded to know from the CCP why the keys to the prayer hall at the St Inez Kabrastan have been handed over to those who had allegedly committed a financial fraud.
According to Shaikh, there is discontentment among Muslim community members of various prayer houses located at Taleigao, Bhatlem, Panaji and St Cruz as the CCP did not take the existing committee members into confidence while handing over the keys.
Shaikh further pointed out that earlier the CCP had constituted a committee by taking on board two persons each from Taleigao, Bhatlem, Panaji and St Cruz and added that when he contacted the Commissioner Agnelo- Fernandes, he promised to raise the issue at the monthly meeting.
