One death, 98 fresh Covid cases recorded

An 80-year-old man from Ponda succumbed to Covid taking Goa’s death toll due to the dreaded virus to 813.

Also, health officials have reported 98 new cases in the last 24 hours from the 1,663 samples tested.

The active covid count of the state now stands at 861 and a total of 41 people were declared cured.

A cause of concern meanwhile is the capital city which has seen Covid positive cases spurt and the active count touched 110. Margao too had 106 active cases.
