Chief Minister Pramod Sawant hit out at the Opposition accusing it of insulting Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai with their errant conduct in the House on Monday.
Speaking to the media after Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar adjourned the House for the day, Sawant said such 'unruly behaviour' on the day the Governor is addressing the legislature was a new low and has happened for the first time.
"It was the Governor's address. Not the Chief Minister's speech," Sawant said and claimed that such behaviour had never been experienced in the history of the House.
