Dean of Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim Dr S M Bandekar has disclosed that over 150 Covid patients who are presently on ventilator support. Dr Bandekar opined that undue delay in hospitalisation of Covid patients with symptoms is what has resulted in the mounting death toll in Goa.
“Even now, we have more than 150 patients on ventilators. This is the scenario. All the deceased declared in today’s bulletin were brought to the hospital very late. It becomes very difficult to save the lives of patients on ventilators,” he stated while speaking to the media.
