The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted light rain/thundershowers at a few places on Thursday and light to moderate rain very likely at many places on Friday and Saturday in the State.
The Met department has also issued a weather warning of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and winds gusting to 55-65 kmph at a few places on Friday and Saturday.
The general outlook for subsequent days from June 11 to 13 is increase in rainfall activity.
Sea condition is likely to be rough over adjoining areas of southwest Arabian sea, along and off Kerala-Karnataka-Goa coasts.
Squally wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph along and off south Maharashtra-Goa coasts has been predicted from from June 8 to 10.
Fishermen are warned not to venture into the sea during this period.
The highest maximum temperature recorded at Panaji was 36.4 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature was 27 degree Celsius.
