The Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Goa (KBM) has announced its annual awards for the year 2022. The Mandal will celebrate its 60th Foundation Day this year and has planned grand celebration on September 30 and October 1.
This year Mandal will give five seva and karyakarta puraskar apart from its other awards.
Prudent Media Editor in chief Pramod Acharya has bagged the KBM's Ligorio Furtado Trust Award for Journalism.
The recipients of the awards will be presented awards on October 1 at a special ceremony to be held in Gomant Vidya Niketan at 4.00pm.
The Konkani Bhasha Mandal Service Award was given to Martin Menino Fernandes, Gurudas Samant, Uday Deshprabhu, Prabhakar Bhide, Archana Kamat.
The Serafino Cotta sponsored Felicio Cardozo Memorial Teacher Award has been given to Krishnabay (Beena) Nayak.
The Juje Piedade Quadros Memorial Activist Award went to Gopinath Gawas, Aparna Garudi, Revansidh Naik, Rajdeep Naik and Adv. John Fernandes.
The Dinesh Manerkar Sponsored Chandrakant Keni Memorial Award for Best Columnist/ Column Writing went to Mukesh Thali
The Dinesh Manerkar Sponsored Ramnath Manerkar Memorial Award for Translation was given to Sunetra Jog (Book- Sainik).
Late Narsimha Damodar Naik Award for Literature went to Fr. Soccoro Rebelo (Book- Khel Kheloya)
The late Rock Barreto Award for Literature was given to Aravind Bhatikar (Book- Karmanye).
The Konkani Bhasha Mandal sponsored Ramesh Veluskar Memorial Award for Literature went to S. M. Tadkodkar (Book- Konkani Champu Kavya) and the Manoharrai Sardesai Children’s Literature Award went to Avinash Kunkolikar (Shenille Bhurgepan).
