With the promotion of Angelica Leana Odetta Sarita Da Silva as the chief engineer, the public works department (PWD) has got its first woman chief engineer since Goa’s Liberation.
Da Silva, who was working as the superintending surveyor at PWD’s Altinho head office has now been elevated as chief engineer of the buildings division of the department.
Da Silva will relieve present incumbent Santosh Mhapne from his additional charge of the division.
