GFP accuses CM of promising Maha youth jobs at Mopa airport

PANAJI

The Goa Forward Party (GFP) has charged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant with attempts to employ Sindhudurg youths at Manohar International Airport and AYUSH Hospital.

At a press conference held in Panaji on Wednesday, GFP leader Deepak Kalangutkar released a social media post by Rajan Teli of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Unit in Sindhudurg giving details of the meeting with CM over jobs in Pernem.

“The BJP Sindhudurg unit met the CM and demanded jobs for the youth from Maharashtra at Mopa and AYUSH Hospital. According to Teli, the CM has assured them of jobs. Is this no injustice to Goans who are assured by the same government that locals will be given jobs,” he questioned.

The brief note on the details of the meeting along with a group photo was posted by Teli on his social media.

Prior to the commissioning of the airport, CM had claimed that Mopa airport will stimulate jobs and self-employment for locals as it estimated 3,000-4-000 jobs through the new facility.
