Revolutionary Goans staged a rally from Gulem to Polem in Canacona, as part of its final leg of the State-wide Padyatra to oppose coal transportation in Goa. A large number of people joined RG supremo Manoj Parab at Gulem late Friday evening before taking part in the Padyatra to Shristhal.
The Padyatra passed through Chaudi town and culminated at Shristhal.
Parab said the Revolutionary Goans has staged the Padyatra from Patradevi to Polem to protest against the coal hub in Goa.
“While our Padyatra is getting over, we will always fight for our existence and a better future of our children,” he said.
On Saturday evening, the Padyatra continued from Shristhal and proceeded to Bhatpal, Partagal, Poinguinim and culminated at Maxem. On Sunday evening, the rally will continue to Agas, Loliem, Shelim and end at Polem border.
