Two riders were injured when a scooter and a container collided in front of the Nestlé company in Usgao in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to police, the incident took place at around 12.30 am, when the scooter was proceeding from the gate of Nestlé company to the main road.
At that time, a container truck which hit the scooter and both riders, Vansh Naik (20) of Bhoma and the pillion rider Yuvraj Patil (19) from Usgao fell on the road.
The scooter which got stuck to the container truck got dragged for some distance.
The injured youth are undergoing treatment at the Sub-District Hospital at Ponda. Hawaldar Raghunath Gavas conducted the panchnama of the accident under the guidance of Inspector Vijayanath Kavlekar.
