A four-member family from Russia was rescued from the Ashwem beach on Tuesday evening.
According to Drishti reports, the family -- a 60-year-old male, 50-year-old woman and two kids aged 6 and 10 -- were swimming in the sea and Drishti lifesavers on duty had warned the family of the presence of a rip current.
Despite several warnings, the family continued swimming. After a while, all four family members found themselves in distress after being caught in a rip current. They struggled to swim back to the shore.
Three Drishti lifesavers noticed the family and rushed to the spot along with rescue equipment. They brought each of the victims back to safety.
