The former Aam Aadmi Party Goa convener Rahul Mhambre has been issued court summons in the case relating to sticking of posters on public properties during the 2022 Assembly elections campaign.The Goa Police have issued summons to Mhambre to appear before the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Mapusa on June 26 in connection with the case.
“Such intimidation tactics of the Goa government will not deter my resolve to speak and expose the corrupt and non-performance of this BJP government. Instead of reigning on drug peddlers and land mafia who are destroying Goa, CM Pramod Sawant is focusing on his political opponents which is unfortunate for Goa,” Mhambre said.
It may be recalled, similar summons were issued to the national convener of Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in April by the Goa government which was later withdrawn.
