PANAJI
A 16-year-old girl and her maternal uncle were grievously injured when an electricity pole came crashing down on their two-wheeler near Jogger’s Park at Altinho-Panaji on Thursday afternoon.
Both Laxman Mulik, a fire personnel, and his niece, Ruhi Faldesai, are being treated at the GMC hospital.
The mishap took place as Mulik was taking his sister's daughter home from school. Locals rushed to the site and removed the collapsed pole, before shifting the two injured persons to the hospital.
Electricity Department officials along with a police team went to the site, and Panaji police registered the incident as an accident.
