The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has directed all States and Union Territories to identify districts where either the tests positivity has been more than 10 per cent in the last one week or, where bed occupancy was more than 60 per cent.
In an order issued on Thursday, it said, Districts fulfilling any of the above two criteria should be considered for taking intensive and local containment measures.
Incidentally, Goa has recorded positivity rate of 51.08 % today and has been consistently reporting above 30 % positivity for the past several days.
20K more litres of oxygen to Goa: Amid the chaotic medical oxygen availability situation in the country, there was some respite for Goa on Thursday as the Centre made an additional 20,000 litres of the life-saving gas available every alternate day.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane tweeted about the additional allocation to Goa by the Centre.
