Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said his government will plug revenue leakages by undertaking reforms which will curtail expenditure for redundant activities.
Speaking on the Budget in the legislative Assembly on Tuesday, he also said that within next one year most of the budget assurances will be fulfilled.
The scheme to recover tax dues from pre-GST era, currently stuck in litigation, the government will re-introduce one-time-settlement (OTS) scheme.
In addition, OTS schemes for Electricity and Water Bill payment will also be reintroduced. “We can even give relaxation of paying in upto 10 installments, but pay the dues,” he said.
The government is also contemplating setting up of Data Analytic Center to collectively analyse the data generated by various government departments. The comprehensive data analysis will help the government increase its revenue, he added.
