Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has finally resigned from all party positions, including its primary membership, delivering another blow to the embattled Congress party.
In a five-page resignation letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, he has reportedly said that the Congress has lost both the will and the ability under tutelage of the coterie that runs the AICC to fight for what is right for India.
He has also said that the situation in the Cong has currently reached a point of no return and due to which 'proxies' were now being propped up to take over leadership of the party.
I personally feel that he has taken this sudden decision not due to the above mentioned reasons but for his own political survival and to become a union minister in the Narendra Modi-led government’.
