Presently, another game of one-upmanship is underway in Goa. A big vaccination drive is on at Margao, the 'Tika Utsav', as they would like to call it.
According to the news report, health care workers at the vaccination centres are baffled at the poor, lukewarm response from the public.
Are the public fully justified in their response? Certainly, atleast to a large extent.
Haven't they witnessed the death of a loved one who had taken the first shot and got infected and eventually passed away? It is a painful moment to see someone passing away due to Covid.
In the meanwhile however, our shameless politicians from different political parties are up to their game of what is called, 'one-upmanship' for mobilising people for the vaccination.
They want to be seen mobilising people to take the jab, in order to inflate their egos.
