The people of Assagao have set an example in people's power. Fed up of unfulfilled promises, the people have said enough is enough. They want their water woes to be solved else they will boycott the upcoming election. No more empty promises. No more taking the people for granted.
If all villages follow the example of Assagao to solve their problems, the politicians will realise that the people mean business.
Take for example Calangute. For ages the politicians have been promising uninterrupted power supply. But till date they have been unable to set up a simple sub-station in the village.
Same with water. It is a shame that the village is still getting a little water every alternative day!
The people of Goa must question the track record of politicians. They must ask every visiting politician what have they done in the past 5 years?
What they doing now is nothing other than begging for votes.
