The Goa government and most of its ministers keep launching projects and initiatives, claiming that they are for Goans. However, my question is, who is a Goan? If this is not defined, how can the government market them as things for Goans?
At least the Revolutionary Goans (RG) party came up with a proposal to define Goans. It may or may not be perfect, and it may or may not need changes, but it is still a good initiative. Shouldn’t the Goan ministers and politicians, especially those who criticized the RG initiative, come up with their own proposals?
In my view, without defining who is a Goan, all this marketing talk about things being for Goans is just another attempt by this government to take Goans for a deceitful ride.
