BJP is obsessed with cow-related laws

The meat trade in India is run mostly by Muslims who are largely antipathetic to the BJP and what it stands for. It’s not difficult to see why Muslims have often faced the brunt of communal mob fury and paid with their lives. The food on your plate is directly linked to the ruling BJP decision to not only strictly implement the ban on slaughtering cows, considered sacred animals across the country, but also shut down the business of transporting buffaloes. India’s predominantly Christian population in the northeast eats beef. Dalits, Adivasis, Muslims, Christians and other beef-eating citizens' nutrition rights to beef are being crushed due to anti-slaughter laws. India is one of the world’s largest exporters of beef. Previous governments of the Congress party have often paid lip service to minority Indians, including Muslims, and sometimes aided. The question is whether the BJP will use its incredible political majority in the state to monitor personal choice. The narrative is that BJP is obsessed with cow-related laws while Congress is “liberal” and “secular”. Culture is a historical continuum of psychic likes and dislikes. Food habits form part of that cultural continuum. Political parties cannot set agendas to attack cultural habits of people.

It is amazing as to who gave this bright idea to the High Court which…
