State should avoid unnecessary expenditure

This can only be achieved if incompetence, waste and any form of corruption is stamped out. Transparency and accountability in all that is done are paramount. The government is responsible for protecting the rights of the people that are defined in the Constitution and for upholding the law at all times. It is incumbent on those in power to ensure democracy prevails and to provide equal rights to the people.
