Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena may have lost the bow and arrow symbol but if his 'aim' is good his party will win the BMC and subsequent elections. The sympathy factor will also work in his favour. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde will have to prove himself. The BMC elections will set the tone for the future of both parties.
I think that the anti-defection law was enacted so that those legislators who wish to leave that party may do so, provided that they have two-third majority. I believe the intent of the law was that they can leave the party; not take along the party with them. I feel that even if one legislator is loyal to the party he can rightfully lay claim to it.
