The BJP government is pushing for coding and robotics in the new education policy. This is fine but at the same time it could be one of the populist measures. In the same vein, the government should give a push to having an adequate battery charging infrastructure across the state so as to promote electric vehicles in tune with PM Narendra Modi’s green pitch. To that effect, all ITIs and engineering institutes in Goa must have EV-related maintenance and troubleshooting lessons in the syllabus from this year. Green energy holds the key to curbing global carbon emissions.
