It was a good decision of the ruling BJP in the Margao Municipal Council to go ahead with the Carnival and Shigmo parade through the old traditional route from Holy Spirit Church towards MMC Square in the heart of Margao city. There are many routes where the traffic can be diverted and the traffic police department knows to solve the issue very well. Leaving the politics behind the MMC should get together and celebrate the Goan festivals with love and fun. Don't understand why the hell they fight against each other with small issues. This is the main reason why till today there is no development in the city of Margao. I think that the people of Margao, Fatorda and the people who comes to see the floats from different places will be able to enjoy the Carnival parade and Shigmo Parade in a peaceful manner. Hope the government of Goa, MMC, Goa police department and political parties will solve this issue without any further problems.
