Govt's 'destructive' policies compounding water woes

What was common knowledge ” that Goa has a water shortage ” was confirmed in the 2-day Assembly session by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who has now given assurances that the government will provide at least four hours of water daily to Goan households.

As a taxpaying citizen, I ask, why not 24/7 water supply? Is Goa an underdeveloped/backward State, and despite all the loud marketing on massive development progress, the government is struggling on basics like water? If there is a water shortage, then with what logic is the Goa government, particularly the TCP minister, blindly giving approvals to so many mega housing projects, and that too with swimming pools!

This water shortage is being worsened by the reckless “destructive development” policies of the BJP government, and it is high time Goans wake up and stop all this excessive real estate activity.
