Hundreds of teachers posts vacant in schools

It is said that schools are the second homes for students and teachers their second parents. But of late and according to reports, several schools in the State are without teachers.

There are hundreds of posts that have not been filled by the Education Department. It is reported that the department is in receipt of applications from candidates but is not keen on showing any interest.

Students are facing tough time due to shortage of teachers in key subjects like Maths, Science, English etc.

Several schools in Chandor too are facing similar problems. Parents have also approached the school managements to address the issue.

Its nearly four months since schools have reopened and if the situation continues, students will have a tough time to cope up in the remaining months.

It is high time our chief minister and the Education Department take note of the crisis and address the issue on an urgent basis so that students do not face any difficulty in the coming months.
