It is reported that NCP’s Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao had arranged a meeting the alliance issue with the Congress, but no leadership from the Congress attended.
The Congress during it pre-poll strategy had said on many occasions that they would not tie-up with any political party and fight the election on its own.
Alemao has now set November 29 deadline on the alliance issue, failing which, he would be free to take his own decision.
I feel Churchill has already made up his mind and this alliance issue is just a pretext to impress his voters that he had put up the issue before the Congress.
If rumour mongers have it right the Benaulim MLA is likely to hitch a ride either on the AAP or the TMC bus.
As the deadline nears, his voters will know the outcome. Let’s wait and watch.
