'Balle-balle' in Pakistan over Congress-NC alliance for J&K elections, is what Narendra Modi said in Kashmir during the election campaign. We all know of the celebrated detour that Modi did to fly into Karachi a few years ago to wish Nawaz Sharif, then Prime Minister of Pakistan on his birthday. Nothing happened from that visit which one presumes was a 'break the ice' initiative in Indo-Pak relations and Modi brushed it off saying it was only a 'chai pe charcha' moment. In fact the terrorist activity in Kashmir increased after Modi's visit. Now neither has Rahul Gandhi or Omar Abdullah have made any overtures to Pakistan. It is not only Pakistan but also China that Modi indulged in 'balle-balle' with Premier Xi in Tamil Nadu and what did Modi get from it. A bloody nose with China attacking our northern borders in East Ladakh, the Galwan Valley and Arunachal Pradesh near Tawang over the years thereafter. In these skirmishes India had to surrender large swathes of land to China. So Modi has no right to talk about 'balle-balle' since his dances with the enemy has cost the country heavily.
