Mother Mary and virtual devotion

This is that time of the year when the statue of Mother Mary is taken from house to house in the state. When the statue of Our Lady is brought to a particular home, people from the neighbourhood visit to show unity and brotherhood. However this year due to the pandemic this practice may not be possible as it will be difficult to maintain social distancing. A visit to homes is also not advisable due to the spike of the coronavirus cases in the state. Just like the daily mass is streamed live on You Tube, it would be desirable for the various parishes to stream live the devotion to Mother Mary including reciting the rosary since October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. This can be considered by the faithful as a virtual visit of the statue of Our Lady to their homes. The procession of Our Lady of Fatima which takes place in several cities on October 13 may also not be possible this year for the same reason. It would be in the fitness of things for the local parish to carry the statue of Mother Mary on top of a four-wheeler along various routes in the cities without the faithful taking part in a procession. They can, however, light candles outside their homes.
