The Pope has elevated the Archbishop of Goa and Daman to the very high post of Cardinal. This is a very great honour and title as explained in the numerous congratulatory messages. Every festival, including Christmas and Easter, the Chief Minister and the Governor are quick to wish the Christian minority in Goa. Their silence on this elevation reflects their true souls! The honour befits a congratulatory message to the Cardinal elect and the people of Goa from the PM too! Let this window be an eye-opener to the Panjim voters who consistently back the BJP -- out of the mistaken view that high levels of education make good administrators! Or perhaps to be grouped into the same category- by virtue of their vote?
