It is shocking and deeply disturbing to learn that four students assaulted a fellow student inside a school toilet in Goa. Schools are meant to be temples of learning, where students feel safe and nurtured. Such acts of gang violence and hooliganism have no place in educational institutions.
With the increasing number of students from outside the State enrolling in Goa’s schools, it is crucial that all students respect one another and focus on their studies. Unfortunately, instead of fostering a healthy learning environment, some outsiders are reportedly involved in intimidating local Goan students and damaging school property. Such behaviour is unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of our schools.
I urge school authorities, parents, and the government to take strict action against such misconduct and ensure that schools remain safe spaces for all students. It is essential to promote discipline, mutual respect, and harmony among students for the overall development of future generations.
