Traffic congestion on CHOGM road due to short green signal

Motorists on CHOGM road Porvorim are facing a lot of hold-ups and delays  at the traffic lights at the O'Coqueiro circle, not due to the increase in the number of vehicles plying, but primarily due to the short duration of the green signal  for  CHOGM road traffic, which lasts barely 20 seconds. This problem is not something new, but of late it has become a regular feature and a nuisance  due to the increase in the number of  tourist vehicles plying all through the day, and worsens during  morning rush hours and late evenings. The festival season is one more reason. The RTO is well aware of this problem , but little has been done over the years , except issuing challans for reasons best known to them. It is therefore my request to the RTO to resolve the problem soon which can be done by either increasing the duration of the green signal for CHOGM road traffic, or by manually controlling the traffic lights.
