Bailing out State's white elephants by taxing locals

In a stunning revelation, the Goa Dairy announces a loss of Rs 14 crore. What was the minister doing all this while? The Managing Director now wants the government to bail out the dairy of its losses. Once again, they want to milk the taxpayers? Why must the citizens be faulted? Demand for milk by local consumers is fixed and does not require any marketing. This is pegged at 70,000 litres per day. Considering the lakhs of tourists visiting Goa this can be tripled. The Govt. only knows to provide more local assets like hinterland areas to the tourism sector for the profit of the private players: Goa and Goans gain nothing. The BJP must stop harping on putting all eggs in the tourism basket and get themselves upgraded to realities and professional management.  The same minister wants to take over uncultivated land to run like the Goa Dairy? Whether it is KTC buses, electrical substations, Goa Dairy,  roads, open defecation, etc the government knows only how to ‘speak’ that everything is fine and bail out these white elephants by taxing locals.
