Perfection is an illusion, but we can all aim for it. Make mistakes but learn from them so that we don’t repeat the same mistakes twice. Personally, I define work ethics as the desire (not ability) to put work first when trying to decide among competing priorities. A good work ethic of a worker is when he or she doesn’t waste time taking care of personal tasks during work hours. A good work ethic is when the worker concerned does what’s best for the company. And all these qualities I see in our own Goan, Ajit Dalvi, the Circle Head of HDFC Goa -- a renowned leader in Goa’s banking industry.
