In the wake of the Director General of Indian Council of Medical Research having stated that no vaccine for respiratory diseases is 100% efficacious and that a vaccine with minimum of 50% to a maximum of 100% effectiveness is being sought to be used, it may be stressed that if a vaccine of 50% effectiveness is used in India, then it would be prudent that a cure for Covid-19 with a high degree of efficacy should reinforce the overall treatment of Covid-19
On the record it may be stated that at least nine multinational pharmaceutical companies who are in the process of developing vaccines have pledged that all three phases of testing will be under very stringent testing regimes to provide the most effective vaccines, in India since at least a billion people might have to be inoculated.
Therefore this huge exercise should entail very strict measures with a great degree of guarantee.
