I am writing to draw attention to a significant issue faced by thousands of aspiring candidates preparing for the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) exams. Unlike the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and other state PSCs, which maintains a consistent and structured yearly calendar, the GPSC lacks a proper timetable to announce new posts and conduct corresponding examinations. This irregularity creates substantial uncertainty, leaving many aspirants in limbo and putting their careers at risk. Numerous students dedicate years of hard work, energy, and resources to prepare for GPSC exams. Unfortunately, without a fixed schedule, they are left uncertain about when vacancies will be posted or exams held. Given the importance of timely announcements and exams in securing a steady and predictable future for the state’s youth, we urge the GPSC to adopt a yearly timetable similar to UPSC’s and other state PSC's. A fixed schedule would greatly benefit aspirants by allowing them to better manage their time, maintain steady preparation, and avoid the mental stress caused by constant uncertainty. This is a crucial issue that affects not only the students but also the future workforce of Goa.
