Chief Minister Pramod Sawant whilst reacting to the recent protests against one self-styled activist for hurting the religious sentiments of our majority community had said that his government would henceforth not tolerate any such type of activities and had even warned of taking a strong action against those making irresponsible statements on religion on social media. Unfortunately, a group of Catholics have now gone to file three complaints at different police stations against one Abhishek Banerji for hurting the religious sentiments of Christians/other devotees of St Francis Xavier in the state by posting an objectionable post on micro-blogging site 'X' (twitter) against the same Saint. Now, what CM Sawant has got to say about this latest objectionable post and what action will his government take against the said person? I think that our CM Sawant instead of giving his own verbal false assurances for our gullible peace-loving 'susegaad' Goans should show that he means business this time and instruct the cops from the cyber crime cell to seriously start tracking-down/arresting all such rabid communal elements/hate-mongers first who are casually found posting their derogatory remarks against other people's Gods/religion on a daily basis on social media.
