It is well noticed in our country that most Indian politicians seem to be above the law. In Goa itself we have several ministers who have serious criminal cases against them. However, what is now increasingly coming to light is that IPS officers and IAS officers also seem to be above the law. Just in the recent months we have seen IPS officer Jaspal Singh and Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel sort of let off the hook, by their transfers out of the state after facts coming out on their highly controversial behaviour or involvement in malpractices; which should have been instead investigated and they should have been prosecuted as per the law of the land.
