Saligao MLA Kedar Naik had promised hotmixing the road stretches of Arrarim-ward (starting from Peggy's corner and heading right up-to the Mater-Dei High School & the road heading downwards or starting from Mhambre's/Menezes family house to Peggy's corner and which were fully damaged whilst laying of the underground water pipeline network some nine months back) soon after the monsoon season. Of course, some temporary patch-work repairs have been carried out just recently at some selective stretches but this too have been done in a most shabby manner. Now, why people from Arrarim-ward and those using these road stretches on a daily basis are still made to face dust pollution and suffer unnecessarily? Don't they pay their road taxes & all other taxes regularly to the government of Goa? I therefore feel that if the current local MLA wants to show that he really cares for the well-being of the villagers of Saligao then he should get the above two roads fully restored/hotmixed with a double coating at the very earliest without giving any more lame excuses of rains/line testing or else should resign immediately.
