Voters in Goa seem all set to knock the ruling BJP out of power and as such, the saffron party may not win a majority this time in the polls. The BJP is being buffeted by winds of dissent. Several MLAs and leaders who were dropped have raised the banner of revolt. Many political parties have contested this assembly election. The young are looking out for opportunities and growth besides a sustainable ecosystem where they could lead a better life. The taint of the BJP is the alleged job scams in various departments, power cuts, improper water supply, poor governance and a complete failure in the areas of Covid-19 management, livelihood, tourism, etc. Every political party in the fray this time seems to be nursing hopes of forming a government in case of a hung assembly. The anti-establishment sentiment among voters is clearly visible and the BJP may resort to horse-trading yet again in the post poll scenario. Anti-BJP parties must be prepared to foil such attempts.
