It seems the miseries of the common man are akin to a night without end after the continuous fuel and cooking gas price hikes, the electricity rates are in for a steep rise of 8% for domestic consumers.
Interestingly the joint electricity regulatory commission (JERC) which regulates the power sector in Goa and Union Territories has recommended a reduction in tariff for other categories -- commercial, military, engineering services and temporary connections.
This clearly shows that the aam aadmi's earnings, already eroded by skyrocketing inflation is being used to cross subsidise power for the rich. The increase in energy charges for domestic consumers is between 10 paise and 95 paise per kWh.
In case of commercial consumers, the fixed monthly charges remain unchanged and energy charges have been wonder of wonders... reduced.
This is another example of more 'achhe din' being foisted on the common people by the saffron outfit.
The sarkar is taking money out of the pockets of ordinary citizens and transferring it to its capitalist cronies who are nothing but ATMs for the ruling dispensation.
